Lake Yojoa

Follow my travels online at http://travel.beiske.comThe Yojoa Lake is the largest lake in the country.

The surface area of the lake is 285 square kilometers and its depth is 15 meters.

It borders with two National parks, i.e. Santa Bárbara National Park and Cerro Azul Meambar National Park.

Lake Yojoa features a rich biodiversity. Unfortunately, it is also threatened by deforestation, cattle ranching, and development.
