Germany_Hamburg_1Hamburg is the second biggest town in Germany.

It is the home to one of the largest harbors in Europe. There are many waterways and canals and for that reason the city is called the “Venice of the North.”

When in Hamburg you should definitely pay a visit to the local fish market (Fischmarkt), the Merchants District (marked by its imposing red-brick architecture) and spend a night out in the university quarter.

There is also a “red light district“(Reeperbahn), famous for the red lights ;)
