Malta_Valetta_1Malta comprises an archipelago, with only  three largest islands (Malta, Gozo and Comino) being inhabited. The capital city and largest town is Valletta.

Valletta owes its existence to the Knights of St John of Jerusalem  who succeeded making a defence of  the island from the Ottoman invasion.

“Humilissima Civitas Valletta” as it was named by the Maltese Order, today is a very important city whose significance is spread out in the economic, commercial  and social spheres.

The Maltese capital is also a very attractive tourist destination drawing a great number of tourists with its historic sites, rich history and cultures.
