Mexico_Mazatlan_1Mazatlán was established by an army of Spaniards and Indian settlers in 1531, making it one of the oldest ports in the Americas.

In the mid-19th century a large group of  immigrants from Germany settled here and they laid the foundations of the now important commercial seaport that Mazatlan is.

Nowaydays the “Pearl of the Pacific”, as the city is well-known, is Mexico’s second largest coastal city with nearly 600,000 inhabitants.

It has turned into a major resort offering accommodation, sports and cultural activities and culinary diversity that fit all interests and budgets.
