France_Corsica_1Bonifacio is a commune in the southern parts of the  Mediterranean island of Corsica, facing Sardinia and being separated from it by the Strait of Bonifacio.

The town is famous for its white-sand beaches and crystal clean sea water, idyllic paradise places and the historic fortress, thus attracting predominantly residents of mainland France in summer.
